About The Event
Celebrate the Beginning of Summer in a most idyllic, serene setting.
Surrounded by flowering trees, your yoga and meditation practice will be accompanied by birdsong as a gentle breeze and the pulse of sunlight dance upon your skin.
Breathing, moving, sitting, chatting and laughing with friends, some known and others about to be – you will feel utterly at home in your body and at ease in your life.
Rather than discovering something NEW it will feel like a REMEMBERINGof something precious, sacred and ordinary as in, how it’s meant to be.
We will practice slowing down the apparent movement of time by being attentive to the details: luxuriating in the breath; present to sensation; deliberate and precise with movement; curious about and open to the play of the phenomenal world.
Rather than accomplishing, achieving or acquiring anything, this mini-retreat will be about experiencing and enjoying the events of the day while simultaneously expressing the dignity and grace of being human.
In the midst of it all you may discover truths that have been hidden in plain sight as you awaken -awestruck and astonished – to pervasive elegance and majesty.
The property we will gather was blessed by Lama Tsering, the Abbot of the Surmang monastery complex in Tibet, in 2002, who conferred the name Pawo Khandro Ling: “The place where the dakas and dakinis prefer to regularly congregate”
Itinerary (times are approximate)
· Arrive between 9:30 – 10 am
Coffee, Tea, Juice, Fruit/Light Snack; Socialize, ARRIVE!
· Meditation: Sit for 10 minutes with Meditation Instruction: 10-10:15 am
· Summer SOULstice Yoga Practice 10:15 – 12:15 pm
Including Pranayama, Slow-Flow, Deep Rest, Meditation
· Lunch – Homemade Vegetarian Light Fare Prepared with Love: 12:15 – 2 pm
Frolic, Intention Setting, Enjoyment
· Yin Yoga: 2 – 4 pm
· Meditation: 4 – 4:30 pm
Including Maitri or Metta Meditation
· Celebration Feast with Light Fare and Beverages, 4:30 – 6 pm

Please bring a yoga mat along with 1 or 2 yoga blocks, if you have them. And dress in layers as the events will all be outside, weather permitting.
