About The Event
Many people find this season to be joyful and bright, but for others this time of year provokes wistful memories, amplifies feelings of loneliness and/or result in a lack of self-care. Even for those who “love the holidays”, the demands on one’s time and energy can be unsustainable, unrealistic and downright impossible, leaving many people feeling overwhelmed and stressed out during the “Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. If this all feels familiar, treat yourself to this 90-minute gentle movement class that will alleviate stress in the moment and teach you tools to keep you balanced, and maybe even, merry throughout the season.
We will utilize breathing techniques, gentle movement, visualizations, self-guided relaxation and deep rest to fill your energetic well, soothe your nervous system, calm your mind and keep your heart open. Appropriate for all levels of yoga practitioners from the brand new beginner to the seasoned yogi.
If available, be prepared with a yoga mat, a blanket and 2 yoga blocks. You can use cushions or throw pillows in the place of blocks. Dress in layers.
