About The Event
The Anandamaya Kosha is the body of bliss, said to be the most subtle of our embodied sheaths or levels of being. It is a state of ease that is beyond the conceptual mind and expresses contentment and joy irrespective of external conditions. This training elucidates the ways that yin yoga practice leads the practitioner to experience this state more frequently and for longer durations of time. Tying in the practices of Yama and Niyama and other sutras from the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali and layering in the Buddha’s Four Noble Truths and other tenets of Buddhist Philosophy, this highly experiential training offers practical tools to sharpen your spiritual skills en route to discovering wakefulness as your very essence.Â
Included in the training are daily yin yoga practices designed to help you master the skills of surrender and receptivity; lecture and stories aimed at pointing you toward realization; prompts for contemplation, journal writing and discussion; meditation instruction and practice; opportunities to work in pairs to practice teaching the material; suggestions on how to spread your spiritual wealth for the benefit of all.Â
This training is open to yoga teachers and avid students interested in pursuing yoga’s ultimate fruition. When taken individually students earn 15 Continuing Education Credits; when combined with other Yin Yoga Teacher Training components I offer students can earn a 125-Hour Certification in Yin Yoga.Â
