About The Event

This series is an opportunity to honor grief as the natural response to loss, to process the pain of loss, to address the many symptoms grief wreaks upon the body and mind, and to connect with the love that supports and contains everything.

In this 4-week series we will use time-tested yoga techniques to address some of the manifestations of grief. Using breathwork, yin and gentle yoga, visualization, and meditation we begin to realize that grief is a largely untapped source of deep self-discovery revealing timeless truths. Rather than working with the ‘stages of grief’ model which implies a linear path, we will consider the ‘tasks of grieving’ which occur in any order and may be revisited again and again. Ultimately, we realize that grief must be integrated into who we are becoming as we increase our capacity to hold it, which then increases our capacity to live life… possibly even experience joy.

You will learn techniques that you can practice on your own, empowering you to face loss with a clear mind and an open heart. This series will not ‘cure’ your grief but hopefully will normalize it, allow it to move and transform, and help you integrate the reality of the loss while empowering you to create new ways of being in the world.

During our time together we will: 

1.  Define grief, recognizing the depth and pervasiveness of loss

2. Recognize and acknowledge primary and secondary losses

3. Unpack the four primary ways that grief manifests and learn specific techniques to address them individually

4. Consider how to embark upon a new identity that honors what has been lost ... and more. 

Investment: $130 for the series.
